The UPMC Child Advocacy Center of Central Pa, is one of the oldest child advocacy centers in Pennsylvania. It is the only child advocacy center serving Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, Perry, Mifflin, Juniata, and Schuylkill Counties, serving 1,400 children annually. The center provides forensic interviews, specialized medical care, and mental health services to children who have experienced sexual or physical abuse, or neglect, or who have witnessed a violent crime. Children describe feeling empowered after an appointment, especially because they realize they aren’t alone.
